A quality review team from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA) visited the JCS office on 22 March 2016. The purpose of their visit was to assess the quality of care and services we provide to our clients and assess our performance against the Home Care Standards as set out in the Quality of Care Principles 2014.
Each provider of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funded services is required to undergo a quality review at least once every three years.
As part of the quality review process, the quality review team talked with board members, management, staff, volunteers and clients. The team also looked at our systems and processes including how we communicate with all our stakeholders, manage our internal resources and deliver our services and programs to our clients.
Following the quality review, JCS was advised that all 18 of the expected outcomes have successfully been met, and further noted that as an organisation we have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring quality in services, systems and processes through preparation of a detailed continuous improvement plan.
