Berry Van Vuuren


Berry is a registered nurse with extensive nursing and nursing leadership experience. She has worked in public, private and not for profit organisations in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. She has lead teams in intensive care, the disability sector, interventional cardiology and palliative care. She has been a member of a change management team a few times in her career. She held a senior nursing management role in a private hospital as well as a senior role for the Society for Jewish Handicapped in South Africa.

She currently manages a multidisciplinary team in a not for profit inpatient specialist palliative care unit in Adelaide.

Jill Noble


Jill joined the JCS Board as Treasurer in April 2015.

Jill is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for the Nova Group of companies, and has a diverse background in technical, project management, management and finance roles, predominantly in the Defence and technology sectors.

Jill’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Mathematics), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Commerce (Accounting). Jill is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

David Worth


David Joined the JCS Board as a Board member in June 2018.

David is a qualified and registered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. David’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, a Master of Applied Science and a Research PhD in Cervical Spine Kinematics from Flinders University of South Australia. He is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and The Professional Practice Standards Committee of the Occupational Health Physiotherapy Group of Australia.

David is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of South Australia and works as a Consultant in the field of Occupational Health Physiotherapy.

Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky


Shoshana Kaminsky has been the rabbi of Beit Shalom Synagogue since 2006. She is involved in a number of local organisations, including the Abraham Institute, the South Australia/New Zealand Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, and the Multifaith Association of South Australia. Nationally, she serves as secretary of the Council of Progressive Rabbis, and internationally she is one of two consulting rabbis for the United Indonesia Jewish Community.

Michael Hanzalik


Mike joined the JCS Board in November 2019. Mike is a qualified geologist experienced in a number of technical and managerial executive roles in large multinational companies having worked in the petroleum exploration and development industry in Asia, the Middle East and all over Australia for more than 30 years. Mike brings to the Board his skills and expertise in budget coordinating for large business units and Joint Venture Manager for a number of very active and complex joint ventures . Mike has been a committed member of the Adelaide Jewish community and have previously served on the Board of other Jewish organisations.
